Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
PC 626.10(a) Possesion of a Weapon on School Property
My 14 year old daughter is being arraigined for having a knife on school property. She is a good kid with prior history of any kind with the law or schools. What kind of punishment and fines will she be facing? FI she pleads guilty at the arraingment what will happen then? We dont get to meet the public defender until the day of the arraignment. Any information would be a great help, I am onfused and cannot find much about this on the internet.

Why would you abandon your own child to the public defender? Juvenile convictions can have lasting consequences, and this could be the most important decision you make. Whatever you do, I would not be quick to have her plead guilty at the arraignment, or at any other time.
