Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Penal Code 4852.01
In 1987, I was convicted of a felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell while in college. Six months in a work furlough was ordered and served. Per summary probation, after 3 years, the felony was reduced to a misdemeanor possession. No additional criminal convictions or accusations have occured since. What are the chances of obtaining a certificate of rehabilitation & pardon under penal code 4852.01? What would this mean and how does one go about applying?

Re: Penal Code 4852.01
Because you didn't go to prison, you aren't eligible for a certificate of rehab or a pardon. You are, however, eligible for expungement pursuant to Penal Code section 1203.4. You should consult a lawyer in your area to help you with this because it's tricky. Good luck.
