Thanks for your posting. As Mr. Wolf indicated, giving you a straight answer is difficult, as it depends on what the prosecutor has charged in the documents alleging the violation, and if they are willing to allow the minimum sentence, or drop the strike allegation. A probation or parole violation might also be imposed, increasing the penalty. Or, if the new case is imposed as a strike, the second time strike penalty might double the sentence.

A violation of �12021(a) would expose you to the maximum of up to 6 years, and if both the new case and the old case are charged by the D.A. as strikes, that would be doubled to up to a maximum of 12 years.
