Perjury

A man committed perjury to serve me with a Notice of Hearing and Temporary Restraining Order (Form CH-120). What is the penalty in California for committing perjury and how can he be held accountable?

The matter should be brought to the court's attention on the first available opportunity. Perjury is a felony under California law, however due to the administrative burden judges are loath to recommend prosecution for perjury, except for the clearest of cases.
