Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Petty Theft
I recently was visiting the San Jose CA area I went into a WalMart store and got caught taking a 10 dollar shirt. As I was walking out two securities without warning tried to tackle me. They did not say 'security' or nothing so in panic I ran a few steps and they caught me. Now I have been through this before and I had learned my lesson about 5 years ago I had some theft related cases in other counties and finished probabtion now I screwed up I was doing so good. I did this kind of like an impulse. Stupid. Now I am being charged with Petty Theft With a Prior and due to the fact that I ran just a little bit also Robbery. I am in this dillema now I am out on OR and just went to the preliminary arrainment. I want to prepare or know what I can do or what chance I have I mean it is my first in this county but what advice can you give me.. Thanks

Apparently you didn't learn your lesson well enough to stay out of state prison. Aside from hire a good lawyer, what else is there to say.
