I was physically assaulted by a co-worker this past Friday. Can I file a police report without filing charges?

Charges are filed by the Disrtict Attorney, not the victim. The victim makes a police report, the police decide if there appear to be grounds to arrest the person, the DA then decides on whether criminaacharges will be brought.

Mr. Shers is right. You complain to the police, they make the report. The DA files the charges or decides to, regardless of what you want. The fact that you don't want them charged tells me you are up to something nefarious.
