Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
If the police in California record a secret conversation of another person that lives in the State of Arizona with the consent of a citizen that lives in California, is that legal to use in a criminal trial in California? Is the person that lives in California allowed to give the one party consent as required in Arizona or would they have been required to obtain a ex parte order or subpoena since neither party were from Arizona?

Listening in on telephone conversations is a very tricky area of the law. I cannot tell by your post whether it was legal or not. You ought to sit down with an experienced criminal law attorney, give him/her all of the facts and let her/him ask you necessary question and then give you an opinion.
