can the police do a probation search if my 16 year old son is the only one home?
if my 16 year old son opened the door to a police officer and the say they are doing a probation search on me and my son told them i was not home can they still come inside and search

If someone at the residence is on active probation, and someone with, "apparent authority" allows access to law enforcement, then it may ok for police to enter. Yes, as long as your probation terms include being subjected to such searches (as almost all do).
