Unfortunately No.
Re: police report of homicide
I'm afraid not. Police reports are confidential, and releasing them -- even to the victim's family -- can sometimes jeopardize an investigation by making information available to the public which would otherwise be known only to the police.
The report may have to be released as part of an eventual prosecution, but it would ordinarily be kept confidential until then.
It can't hurt to ask for a copy of the report; in some instances the police may feel that releasing it would not be a problem. But if they say no you will probably have to accept that answer.
