Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Can anyone get a police report

My mother was recently involved in a criminal dispute. My brother and sister where taken by CPS and given to my father and his new wife. My mothers charges where dropped and now my mom is having to fight to get my brother and sister back. My fathers wife seems to think that my mom cant get the kids back . She says that the district attorney attorney told her my mom was hi on methanphedamene at the time she was arrested. My question is, is that legal for the district attorney to talk to my fathers wife about my moms case. And second, if he did say something can my step mom use it in court. Or is it just considered hear say. Oh and as a side note the district attorney is friends with my father. If that makes a difference.

Re: Can anyone get a police report

If the charges were dropped against your mom, then she more or less has a "clean slate". Her best remedy to challenge the custodial order against her is to file for an OSC hearing immediately. If she would like prompt, affordably legal assistance in this matter, contact us today for a free phone consultation.
