Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

can police search driver and car if parole is in the back seat and how far can the search exceed.

That's tricky. One of those questions that begs for more facts. Clearly they can search the parole. The car is trickier. If he is on parole for a violent crime they can probably clear the car for weapons.
