Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
How can I get a police search?
Here's the scenario; I had my property in storage, my property was stolen by the owner/employees of the storage facility, I believe were these peoples homes searched, my property would be found. Would the police search the homes in question if I explained all the reasons why I believe my property would be found in these homes?

Re: How can I get a police search?
Report the crime to the police asap. They will take it from there. If you convince them stolen property might be found in the perpetrators' house, that might be sufficient for probable cause for the police to obtain a search warrant. The longer you wait the less likely it is you will recover what was stolen.
