posession and urinating
I have a ticket for posession (less then an 1 ounce) and urinating in public, how do I handle it without recieving jail time?

Your offenses should typically not result in jail time but factors such as your prior record and where your case is being heard might play a role. Even if no jail time is involved it does not mean you should not retain a lawyer to either fight the charges or resolve your case in the best possible way. For example, the highest penalty for possession of less than an ounce is a $100 ticket but you should fight not to have such conviction on your record. Simple possession conviction might complicate your life at some future point, for example, if you ever apply for any financial aid from state or federal government. It is much better to earn a dismissal of your case by taking some classes than to pay the fine.
