Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Prejudgment Interest in California
In a criminal case where a plantiff is ordered to pay restitution and prejudgment insterest. What is the statue on the interest rate in CA? 10% seems double what the prime rate is currently. Is there a maximum amount of months allowed for prejudgment interest?

Re: Prejudgment Interest in California
10 percent is the rate. Pre-judgment interest would date back to the date of the crime.
