Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Someone pretended to be a therapist and had a "patient" confess very intimate things about their childhood. It went on for weeks. Can this fake therapist be prosecuted?

That will depend on additional details. You may want to contact your local District Attorney's office and/or the state agency that licenses the particular type of therapist this person pretended to be. Once they hear your information, they might decide to pursue the matter.

Good luck.

The only thing I can add to the answer above is to do this as soon as possible. The sooner you do what Edward Hoffman told you to do, the better chance the authorities will be able to do something. Time is of the essence here.

Thank you
