Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

needs

Regarding a prisoner who is going threw an appeal process, can a court appointed attorney , be replaced with an attorney who will work at the same fee , but who is not in the jurisdiction of the court. Based solely on the fact that this attorney lied and does'nt have prisoners best interest at heart .

Can the jurisdiction be changed ?

You should contact the presiding judge of the court of appeals and submit to him/her the evidence that you have that the attorney is not acting to protect the best interests of the client. Also have the attorney who will do the work for the same fee contact the court and request that he be appointed to represent the client. The attorney must be licensed to practice law in California.
