Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I am a private investigator. A woman called and asked if her adult son could be arrested for purchasing 3 dvd's containing child pornography. I reversed her number and located her address and the names of her two adult sons living with her. Should I report this to the FBI? She is not a client. Can I be liable for anything for providing this information to the FBI? The house is next to a high School and I am concerned for the safety of the children.

Yes you should report it and there is nothing to be liable for because there is no duty of confidentiality.
