Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

prize money

prize money declared by a company of california based against sweepstake entry is not being given inspite of repeated requests. They confirmed that the I had won prize. The company is situated at los gatos, California. What should I do. I am having copy of e-mail with full header information. I am residing in India and e-mail in India. Please suggest how to enforce so that i Could get prixe money. There are possibility that the company had illegally lured to advertise their product. But now I want to learn them Please suggest

We can surely sue the company and enforce what they have promised. We will need more information before we predict the future course of action.

You should report the facts of your case to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's office and request that they investigate the case and file criminal charges against the responsible parties. It is unlikey that you will be able to collect a judgement against the other party. If the district attorney files charges and the persons are convicted the court may order them to pay restitution which would be determined by the court.
