Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

probable cause?

if the cops approached me at a gas station for no reason and tested and searched myself and friend when noone in or around the car was on probation or gave consent, and told us that if we didnt submit to a urine analysis we would go to jail, would that U.A. be admissable even though they didnt have any reason to approach us?

Re: probable cause?

The urinalysis would be the fruit of an unlawful seizure and would be inadmissible. This assumes, of course, that the police actually had "no reason" to suspect you, as you say. The fact that you don't believe they had a reason does not prove this point.

If you gave the urine sample, they can PROBABLY use it. If they say you have to give a sample or go to jail, tell them to take you will go to jail.

Police CAN LIE to get you to do things.
