whats my probable outcome?

in your professional opinion, please tell me the out come of this situation based on past cases. I have an upcomming trial for the charge of spousal abuse, i have been fighting that charge with no private attourney. Now its going to go lto trial. I am going against two police officers who claim to have witness me punch myt girlfriend in the carwhile she was driving. the cop pulled us over because she swerved when i supposed punched her. In my criminal history i have a prior conviction in 1996 for assalt on a police with a deadly weapon , the was dropped to of brandishing a wepons charge, that i served one full year in county jail. If i am convicted, will i have a maxium penality because i took this to trial? what is the probable outcome of the saniro? if i am convicted and i and other witnesses say innoncent in court is that purjury?

It sounds like you don't have a lawyer. Get one.

As to your last question, it is not perjury for a guilty defendant to *plead* not guilty, but it is perjury for the defendant or any witness to lie about what actually happened. Arranging for another witness to do this is suborning perjury, which is a separate crime -- and separately punishable.

No one can really tell you what the probable outcome is going to be in your case. You need to talk to your attorney. If you dont have an attorney you need to hire one.
