Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

If someone on probation for drugs leaves the country and has no plans of returning what happens? He/she is not wanted for anything, but violating probation by leaving country. Would they get extradited back over something that small?

A warrant will be issued for their arrest. A lot will depend on the country your friend goes to. I doubt there would be a lot of effort in trying to find them, but that is the risk they will take
