Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Probation Hold

My boyfriend got arrested and is not on probation. There is a probation hold on him, therefore, he cannot be bailed out. It is a mistake in the paperwork or something. How can we get it lifted so we can bail him out?

Re: Probation Hold

You need to get more information on the probation hold. Start witht the case number and the name of the defendent. Then determine whether your boyfriend is the person named in the case in which the probation hold was issued. If your boyfriend is not the person named in the probation violation case, it should be relatively simple to get him released. If he is the person named in the probation complaint, then it will be difficult to get him out on bail before a court appearance.
