probation hold

how long can a person be held in jail before going before a judge on a probation violation for being arrested on charges that were later dismissed?

Someone on Probation Violation does not have statutory or constitutional right to bail if held on probation violation petition. Generally, the judge will hold them for as long as it takes to generate a new probation report, which on average will take a couple of weeks.

It is the lawyer's job to raise arguments and hell that such treatment is unjust and completely uncalled for under the circumstances.
