probation and patrole

i was on patrole and got arrested in another county for obscounding. i was in there jail for 90days then trainfered to a prision. there i recieved a sentance of i year. now i have learned they have a warrant for me there for violation of probation, (not reporting). i was incarserated and couldn't report cause i was already in prision at the time.

now they are coming after me b5 days before my release date, and transfering me to this other county, and i will have to go to court on this, and they are trying to give me 3 years on this charge. can they do this if i was already in prision at the time i was supposse to report?

You should be represented by an attorney in this case. You may have a denial of speedy trial defense. You should have filed a 1381 petition with the county that has the hold. That would have forced them to procede in a timely manner.
