Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

probation

question re. a family member who served 7 1/2 months for a drug offense, after that he got 6 months probation under house arrest. He was granted permission to leave the country for 10 days to go to Iran. He couldn't come back and it's going to be a few months before he can return. he was told that if he travels outside of Iran to Spain(where he resides), or Germany, he will be arrested there, because his name is put on interpol. is that true? what will happen when he returns to the united states, will he be arrested? he is a united states citizen, however he doesn't reside in the united states.would that be considered a violation of his probation, and how much jail time could he get for that?

Re: probation

YES he can be arrested for a violation of probation, if he was not supposed to go any where else besides Iran. You need to tell him to contact a lawyer quickly because he could serve some jail time. Our law office deals with this type of matter very often and we would be glad to represent him. Contact us today. 760.243.5121.

Thanks and God Bless.
