Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Probation Violation

I am on probation in California for a felony drug posession (a very tiny amount) since Jan. 2004. I was doing great until this last weekend. It was my 40th birthday and I went to Las Vegas with my girlfriend and some friends. I had too much to drink at the craps table and got on my Harley rode 1 block and decided to turn around and go back to my room. I made an illegal u-turn to go backand was pulled over and arrested for DUI. What will now happen with my probation in CA and the DUI in NV? Thank you for all the help you can give me. Mike

Re: Probation Violation

Driving under the influence is a violation of probation. If the probation department learns about this there is a high probability that they will file a probation violation petition. How the court reacts to the probation violation will depend on your criminal history and the judge. Having an experienced attorney can be very helpful to you in reducing the damages, in both Nevada and Californis.
