Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Process to request change of probation officer?

I would like to know the process in which I may appear before a Judge or Commissioner and request a change of officer.

My probation officer has verbally harrassed me on several instances. She has made both derogatory remarks and also those in a degrading tone, all of which were unrelated in content to my crimes or case in general.

She has also made it hard to keep a stable school and work schedule. I failed a semester of neurology because she would not allow me to come in the next day, and I took a loss on the final.

My crimes are California H&S11359 Felony count, and PC422 Misdemeanor count. I have just hit the 1year mark of my 3 year period.

I have had no violations, no dirty tests, no failure to report, have maintained work housing and remained enrolled in school for the entire period.

I am not a threat. I show no signs of repeat offense, I have my life in order, and yet she still wants to make it a struggle for me to get by. I will list incriminating remarks made by the officer upon request.

What can I show the people of california to allow me to change officers? I have known others on formal supervision who never had an officer half this rough.

The OC probation officers are SOBs, and it's not likely you'd fare any better with another one. I would contact your criminal defense lawyer. You also have nothing to lose by appearing before, or writing to, the bench officer.
