Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Public Defender
hi, i am 20 years old and my parents still claim me. i am wondering the guidelines for qualifying for a public defender. when i fill out the papers to see if i qualify, do they take into account my parents income too? or do they just look at my personal income to decide if i qualify for a public defender? thanks

Re: Public Defender
They should just look at your income. However if they ask about who is living in the home with you list your parents, assuming that you do live in the same home.
