Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was pulled over, for tail light being out, and the officers ask for my I.D liecence was expired and then they ask my friend for his I.D .And then ask us to get out and put our hands behind our backs then ask if there was anything in the Van i said no.Well they found baggy in side another baggy,in center counsel.they ask if it was mine i answered no,and my friend answered no.And i'm freaking out, cause he was going to towel my only transportation i had for me and my kids. Now the officer telling me unless one of usadmited to the substance they were going to take both to jail and towe my Van.So i said ok it's mine,so that they won't towe my van. Then they started asking questions like where did i get, when was the last time i used. Then they started telling me that i won't go to jail and my van wouldn't be taken.if would become a informer, and make buys.I did what i thought was rite to save my Van from being taken.I agreed,i didn't sign anything or recorded. But they made it look like i was book in.Cause they gave me a pre-Booking information sheet.,from the Department of Correction. So i wanna know if they have can take in,or what r my rights?

lesson 1, do not believe what "they" tell you. Other than that I am not sure I follow your question ... you say - So i wanna know if they have can take in,or what r my rights?

I don't follow what that means.

in any case though, I would recommend to talk to some attorneys local to where the case will be heard. Good luck!

Not only should you not believe what they tell you but more importantly you should have kept quiet. Without you saying anything they may not have arrested you and they could not have convicted you. But you convicted yourself by claiming the baggie.

P. S. The only reason they ask you questions is because they did not have enough evidence to arrest you.
