Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Punishment
What is the prosecution more likely to go for in a plea bargain. Electronic monitoring (house arrest) or community service. I prefer electronic monitoring, do most prosecutors consider community a more severe punishment?

Re: Punishment
The prosecution wants to put all defendants in jail for as long as possible. What they will settle for, as opposed to what they want, depends on the crime charged, the probability of winning, whether or not the defendant has a good lawyer, the defendant's prior criminal record among other factord.
