Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
what to put on an application
I plead guilty to an assualt felony in 1999, after probation the charge was dropped to a misdemeanor. In 2008 I filed paperwork with the court in AZ., and the charges were dismissed with prejudice. I was 19 in 1999, and made a bad mistake, I would like to be able to coach my sons sports teams, what should I put on the application?

Hmmm. You say this question relates to California law, but the conviction and expungement were in AZ. I am not an Arizona lawyer, but from what you told me, the conviction has been vacated, so you should be authorized to answer "No convictions". But you should seek an answer from an Arizona lawyer to be sure.
