Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
i was questioned about a homicide which i have no info on the detective says he thinks i'm lying so he had my car searched, against my permission and he found copied money but only one sided. so he arrested me for forgery. i went to jail and 3 days later was taken to video court when i got ther i was handed a paper with my charges on it. now all the sudden there is no forgery charge and i have 2 new charges of possession of controlled substance. i have no idea where they got this from . i did not have possession of anything of the sort. is this legal? what do i do?
