Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I just received a 'Drinking in public' ticket in downtown fullerton. I was not Drunk and I was not drinking in public, I was about to walk into a bar and big crowd started to form so I walked over to see what was going on. I had bought a bottle at the previous bar I was at and I had it in my hand.When I got there a guy was on the floor and I didn't know if he was drunk or just got beat up. The second I saw the guy on the floor I feel someone yank me and it's a cop trying to put cuffs on me. He initialy thought I had something to do w/ the guy on the floor but apparently while I was in the back of the police car my friends let him know I didn't. He made me sit in the back of the car on display for a half'nhour to make an example out of me and then wrote me a drinking in public ticket and circled Misdemeanor.I'm in the process of joining the army and I can't join w/ any open cases. I was begging the cop to brethalize me but he wouldn't. My friends said the cops gave the bottle to a guy working at the club so they don't have evidence. I was wondering if my case has a chance to be dismissed. I know if god graces me with the cops absence at the arrainment then I'll be fine but if he does show do I still have a chance? Any info is much appreciated. I'm 21 and not a poo butt troublemaker, I'm just trying to avoid a blemish on my record and any probation at all.. Thankyou

Downtown Fullerton is notorious for their drinking in public arrests. You're going to be charged with a violation of their city ordinance for possession of alcohol in public. Yes, it is a misdemeanor, but I have obtained dismissals and reductions on all of them in the past.
