Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
i recently plead guilty to transportation of a controlled substance. this case is 3 yrs. old but @ the time of my arrest i had $2200 on me i have check stubs from my $20 hr. job and a $1600 casino receipt from 2 mths priorto my arrest. can they keep my money?

Yes, as evidence. You need to find out if they have filed a forfeiture of the money as contraband. Didn't you ask your criminal defense attorney this question?
