How long they are holding him for a probation violation?

I assume this is a follow-up to another question you posted.
They can hold your boyfriend until his hearing. If he admits he's in violation, he can get anything from credit for time served and back on probation or he could get the maximum time on his original case, minus any credit for time he's already served. If he doesn't admit he's in violation, he's got a right to a hearing to determine if he is in violation. That may take a couple or few weeks to schedule. Same thing after the hearing. If he's in violation, he could get up to the maximum of any sentence he was on probation for.
