Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Hello, I was released on bail bond but the person who paid for bond never asked for bond refund because it was my money. This was in 2008, I now want to collect refund but I have no receipt or information. I was not guilty and never issued a court day. How can I get my bond refund?

One part of this that's missing -
Did your friend post an all cash bond or did you go through a bail bonds company?
If they posted a cash bail, once the case is over (assume the bail was never forfeited), they get it all back. They posted, so they get it back, not you.
If you went through a bail bonds company, then you don't get back the premium you/they paid even if no charges are filed. That is the cost of getting the bail company to post on your behalf.
