Re: Resisting Arrest

Resisting arrest is normally a pretty serious charge. Since police officers get hurt, lose work time while drawing pay, incur medical bills, and medically retire from the police force due to their injuries, the assault on a police officer normally draws a jail sentence twice that of an assault on another citizen.

You need to be prepared to defend yourself at a trial. That means a competent attorney to assist you, and some investigative work including blood checks (ASAP) for drugs in your system. Or get used to the idea of spending some time in the county jail.
