Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
i have a restraining order and a priest wants to contact my wife, not on my behalf
i did speak to him and now he wants to talk to her. i am not telling this priest to talk to her am i still liable for this

If you did not ask the priest to speak to her you would not be liable, but why would the priest do it unless he thought you wanted him to do so?

Because he wants to warn the wife. If that is the case, you are definitely not liable.

I would certainly make sure that your priest is aware of the restraining order, otherwise you could be in violation.
