Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
return of bail when no charges filed ever...
Hello, a year ago now, while checking/clearing a rifle that a friend had just returned to me,I had an accidental discharge which resulted in my arrest.I bailed out, appeared in court 3 times yet no charges have ever been filed, bail ''exonerated'' whatever that means and their year is up on the misdemeanor. Can I recover my bail? How? Thank you much...

Call the court clerk of the department you were in. Or, if they don't know, ask the court clerk.
