Rights after being accused of Rape, and charges were dropped?

My husband was accused, arrested and held for 2 days before being released on a rape charge. He was never arrainged and was told that there was no case. We want to know how can we find out if there is still an investigation open? How long can this be investigated? What are the chances of him being arrested again if the 1st time, no charges were even filed? Please give me any info. that you have. My husband is totally innocent of rape, although he did have consentual sex with the accuser.

There is probably no way you can find out if there is still an active case. As to being arrested after consual sex ask Kobe Bryant.
