Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
rights of criminals to sue
How is it that a bank robber on parole robs a bank and then can sue the bank, the police, the hospital, and the security pack manufacturers when he sustains second and third degree burn injuries from the security pack he puts his money in? What are the legal ground for this and how did he win the case based on them?

I agree with you. I had this identical question on one of my law school exams. I wrote that the bank robber ought to be thrown the hell out of court. The professor did not like this answer, she gave me a bad grade, and this is one reason why I don't make the big bucks working for some high-falutin' law firm. Go figure.
