Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Road Rage ??

My wife called me on her way to work this morning and was a little concerned with a guy in another vehicle that was upset because he couldn't go as fast as he wanted due to the traffic. Apparently he felt my wife was holding him up and pretended to shoot my wife with his ''finger''. Normally, this type of gesture is done in fun but this guy was serious. Lucky he did not have a real gun! Is there a penal code violation for this type of activity? I told her she should have given him her ''finger'', but then again he could have been a real nut case and done something more serious!

Re: Road Rage ??

This is not really an appropriate request. This forum is for people seeking help with a legal question. If you believe you have been harmed, file a police report.

Re: Road Rage ??

This conduct should be reported to the police. The highway patrol looks for such aggressive drivers and tickets them. Giving that driver the finger might have resulted in her being harmed. reporting this conduct with the license number of the vehicle is the best approach.
