Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
is robbery of a credit union a federal crime? banks, with branches in many states are under the purview of the federal government under the interstate commerce clause; if a credit union has branches in just one state is it's robbery afederal crime?

I think that a credit union might have some type of federal guarantee for its depositors; if it does then robbing it may be a federal crime. There are credit unions that advertise they are "federal ".

Yes, it can be a federal crime, but it can also be prosecuted under state law.
