People v. Superior Court (Romero) (1996) 13 Cal.4th 497, allows the court to dismiss a "strike" (Penal Code section 667(b)-(e)) prior if the court determines that dismissing the prior would be in the interest of justice. Section 1385(a), provides that, �the judge or magistrate may, either of its own motion or upon the application of the prosecuting attorney, and in the furtherance of justice, order an action to be dismissed. The reasons of the dismissal must be set forth in an order entered upon the minutes.�
