I rent a room in an apartment, but the lady i rent from has alot of people in an out I think she has some illegal activety? I have asked her why there are alot of people she tells me its not my business.I have a sign on my door and i added a 1/2 to the apt number and i put Private property on the outside of the door . I am currentely unemployed and i cant afford to move yet is ther anythin I can do ? I rarely come out of my room. I know the neighbors think something is going on ? Is ther something i can do to protect myself? Can I make up something in writing . She is on Probation

Re: Roomate Illegal Activety
It is not a crime to have a roommate who is a criminal. As long as you have no involvement in whatever she is up to you are not breaking the law. There is some potential for problems if it *appears* that you are involved in whatever she is doing, so it is good that you have taken steps to distance yourself from her. Since you can't afford to move I'm not sure what more I can suggest.
