during a routine traffic stop, if a search of the vehicle is done and drugs are found in trunk, can passenger be arrested? Even if driver is the registered owner?

It depends on the circumstances. Two people can be jointly in possession of the same drugs.

If you are charged with a crime, your attorney should examine the legality of your arrest and detention. If you can't afford an attorney, ask the judge to appoint the public defender to represent you.
