Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
i sawed off a 22 cal rifle to 14 inches because it was inoprable it is a single shot bolt action now i am being charged with manufacturing a dangerous weapon(felony) do i have any chances of getting it dropped in court

That depends on what the evidence is and how the authorities got it. You need to get a lawyer ASAP and discuss your case in detail with her. Hire an attorney if you can; rely on the public defender if you can't. (Public defenders are good lawyers but they are overworked and can't give most of their cases enough time.)
