Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
seal records
I would like to know, if I have had my case expunged, can I still have those records sealed? or is that necessary? Is the expungement enough? thank you

Re: seal records
If your records are sealed then that's about the best you are going to do. Expunging your records I don't believe is available to you unless charges have been filed and then dropped or you've had a finding of 'factual innosence' by the judge.
Even with all this any governmental agency will be able to review your record. So with your records sealed you'll be able to truthfully say you've not been convicted. However, if applying for a security clearence expect to be questioned about the matter. And you might have a problem buying a gun out of state if the Feds get interested in you.
