Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Sealing Juvinile Records
I commited shoplifting when I was 13. I am now 23 and I have not been in trouble since. Has my record been automatically sealed? If not how do I seal it and how much would it cost me?

No, it does not get automatically sealed. Go to the juvenile court clerk's office in the court where you received you juvenile finding and ask for a form to seal your record, fill out the form and you will receive a court date to have the judge hear the matter. I don't believe it costs anything, but I don't know that for sure. Good luck.
