Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

search warrant affidavit

I recently was served a search warrant for my home and it was numbered pages 1 and 2 of 11. When do I get to see the other 9 pages which is called the affidavit?

Re: search warrant affidavit

The affidavit will be available in court, if you or anyone else is going to be charged with a crime. Even then, some portions of the affidavit might be sealed by court order. This is likely if the probable cause for the warrant was established by information provided by a confidential informant.

If you are being investigated or charged with a crime, your best best is to retain a lawyer. Do not attempt to defend yourself. Always a bad idea.
